The Basics / Re: Valid Email Addresses on Registration - especially @icloud addresses
« Last post by Alba on September 04, 2026, 04:32:17 PM »
I'm afraid another applicant using an @icloud address will not have received the 'Welcome' or 'Approved and Need to Activate' emails today.  Again the reason given was 'Message rejected due to local policy,' so that is something we have no control over.

If this was you, please email admin@transcriptionessentials.com either from or including an alternative email address.

 :thankyou:

And again today.  This one starts with 'd' and ends with '5@icloud.com.'

Please read these posts, potential members; it really makes life easier for us all.

Our Welcome and Approved emails for a new applicant with an icloud address have been rejected again today.   All of the TE email protocols are set up properly; Apple obviously has its own arrangements.

So if this was you, please email me at admin@transcriptionessentials.com either using or giving another email address.

 :thankyou:

The Basics / Valid Email Addresses on Registration
« Last post by Alba on February 24, 2025, 02:33:31 PM »
To all new applicants,

If you do not provide a valid email address when you register, you will not receive the email containing the activation link, and your registration will not be successful.  Please check the spelling of the address with which you register because it could be a simple typo which causes the process to grind to a halt.

Also, if you do not receive an activation email within 48 hours, please email me at admin (at) transcriptionessentials dot com.  A few activation emails recently have been returned for reasons such as the recipient's inbox is full, the address is not valid, or it was marked as spam.  The latter reason has been almost exclusively from addresses @icloud.com.

Obviously in those circumstances, I have no way of contacting you, so in time your application has to be deleted.

 :thankyou:

The Basics / UPDATE ON AUTOMATED EMAILS
« Last post by Alba on September 03, 2024, 09:55:43 AM »
At long last I've got the automated email system working again.   :whew:

For those of you who had to put up with my clunky workarounds on registration, activation, and forgotten passwords, thank you very much for your patience.

Please do report any new problems you encounter with our emails to admin(at)transcriptionessentials.com

 :thankyou:

EDITED:  Please see sticky at top of page.

To all members or new applicants,

Our automated system for forgotten passwords is malfunctioning at the moment, so if you have forgotten your password, please email me at admin@transcriptionessentials.com.  I can then issue you with a temporary password which you can then change in your profile as soon as you log in.

I know it's a faff, and I'm sorry.

 :thankyou:

Just a friendly reminder :yes::

NEW APPLICANTS

If you have recently applied for membership of Transcription Essentials, please understand that although the aim is to process all applications quickly, it is not always possible.  In the unusual event you have not received an activation email within a maximum of 48 hours, please email admin (at) transcriptionessentials.com with the details you entered on the application, and it will be sorted out.

 :thankyou:

Addendum to this thread:

If you have already made a duplicate application, please email admin@transcriptionessentials.com and say so.  Or if you have been asked about your application, please reply to that email as soon as you are able.  That way any misunderstandings can be sorted out quickly.

I understand that people are finding it difficult at the moment and want to use all the resources available in an effort to keep working, but people's applications to join being held up while I email them to ask about it is not helping anyone.

Thank you.
