1. Do not attempt to impersonate another forum user and do not attempt to create a second user ID.
2. No advertising or spam. This includes affiliate links and/or invitations to request same via private messaging. See Rules 8, 9, and 12 which set out the consequences.
3. Do not ask for or post links to pirated software.
4. DO NOT ASK FOR HELP OF ANY KIND, GENERAL OR SPECIFIC, ABOUT TESTING ON THIS BOARD. This includes questions about who to contact with questions about your test, how to download the audio, formatting, words, anything at all. Everything about a test is part of the testing process. The person taking the test is (or at least should be) YOU, not anyone else.
5. POSTING RULES
a. No racially offensive posts. No posts that are derogatory toward gender or sexual preference. No posts that use slang terms for any race, sexual preference, or religious background. Includes signatures.
b. Please refrain from all religious conversation on this board EXCEPT in The Quiet Room. Please refrain from all political conversation. This board is a wonderfully diverse board, created that way intentionally, and we have learned that the best way to respect and maintain that diversity is to remember it when we post.
c. Do NOT post about how mean you think somebody is or how people are ganging up on someone.
d. Please read previous replies to posts before you post your own reply. If you do not read previous replies you won't know the direction/flow a conversation has taken.
6. Do not send unsolicited PMs or email or make unsolicited contact in any way offering to help with overflow or looking for work. It is against board rules to use ANY contact information available in the member list for the purpose of looking for work.
7. Access to the Short-Term Overflow folder is restricted to Int. Members and above. PLEASE NOTE that this restriction is both for viewing overflow needs and responding to them AND for posting a request for overflow help. IF YOU CANNOT SEE A FOLDER ENTITLED "SHORT-TERM OVERFLOW," DO NOT POST A REQUEST FOR OVERFLOW HELP IN ANY OTHER FOLDER!
8. Posts and threads with content that breaks the rules are subject to closing or editing WITHOUT WARNING.
9. Users who break the rules are subject to being banned either temporarily or permanently, at the discretion of the site administrators, WITHOUT WARNING.
10. By posting on this site, you acknowledge that your IP address and other personal information that you registered with become public information, and may be used by the administrators of the site for any legal situations that arise from your use of the site.
11. Disparagement of Transcription Essentials privately or publicly on other sites is clear indication that you should not be here, and you will be banned from Transcription Essentials for doing that.
12. The administrators may add to or modify these rules at any time and reserve the right to suspend and/or ban any member at their discretion.
